Rocky star Stallone shared a photo on Instagram with his 14.4 million followers last week that showed him wearing a hat with the letter “Q” on it, captioning the post: “Heading into the Storm…”

His comment and photo sparked a frenzy among QAnon followers on social media, some of whom believed it could be a coded message.

QAnon followers latched onto Stallone’s phrase, which they believed could reference “the Storm,” a predicted event in the conspiracy theory’s lore that claims members of an elite cannibalistic pedophile cabal will be arrested and executed under the orders of Donald Trump.

QAnon influencers have repeatedly predicted the date for the made-up event, a notable example being Joe Biden’s inauguration on January 20 which happened without incident.

One account with more than 44,000 followers on Telegram, wrote: “Check out that hat and that caption. Stallone knows.”

Another QAnon influencer with more than 149,000 followers said: “What kind of hat is that? Stallone with an interesting photo.”

Stallone addressed the “Q” hat in a follow up post on Sunday.

“For those incredibly inquisitive individuals,” he wrote on Instagram, “let me state unequivocally that the Q on this hat stands for Quantum of Solace, the name of the boat I was on, not anything else, ok?

“Relax…So folks, the moral of the story is…enjoy your lives and let other people enjoy theirs…So keep punching.”

Quantum of Solace is also the name of the 2008 installment in the James Bond franchise, starring British actor Daniel Craig.

Stallone’s comment was liked more than 120,000 times since it was uploaded.

The actor’s daughter Sistine Stallone wrote in response: “Tell ’em Sly.”

While Nick Cordasco, cofounder of Sly Stallone Shop, said: “People have nothing better to do. Go get ’em Rock.”

Stallone has enjoyed a good relationship with Trump, a major figure within QAnon lore, despite having not publicly endorsed him for president in 2016 or 2020.

Stallone was present in the Oval Office when the then-president signed the posthumous pardon for heavyweight boxer Jack Johnson, after being urged to do so by the actor.

Earlier this year, Stallone denied being a member of Trump’s Florida club, Mar-a-Lago, although a spokesperson told People he had been invited there as a dinner guest.
