Twitter user @this1smetrying’s first tweet in her thread of advice amassed more than 15,000 likes since it was published on Tuesday, and it inspired fellow Twitter users to chime in with their suggestions.

Swift announced The Eras Tour on Good Morning America, which is her first stadium tour in the United States since her 2018 Reputation Stadium Tour.

Her 10th studio album, Midnights, was released on October 21 and almost instantly dominated the Billboard Hot 100’s chart.

With the tour kicking off in the spring, fans can expect to see the Grammy winner celebrating the different music she’s produced over the years and the music from her latest album.

How To Prepare For A Taylor Swift Concert

“Do not camp,” @this1smetrying wrote in her first tweet. “No one has for any show. Her shows are amazing from any view. Nosebleeds have some of the best views [to be honest] so don’t be sad if you can’t get floor or lower bowl.”

Additionally, @this1smetrying encouraged concert-goers to have fun by dancing or singing without worrying about whether others are judging them.

“Dress up!!!” she encouraged. “This is fun. Wear costumes.”

She further suggested that attendees can create outfits to go along with their favorite songs and “eras.”

And, first-timers should also be mindful of enjoying the concert experience more than focusing on the potential of meeting Swift.

“Meeting Taylor can happen, but don’t make it your priority,” @this1smetrying said. “It’ll make your concert experience not so fun. You’re there to have fun and have a good experience and I hope so many of you get to finally see her live!!”

@this1smetrying told Newsweek that she’s gone to two Taylor Swift concerts—the first being the Speak Now World Tour when she was 10 years old and the second being the Reputation Stadium Tour when she was 17 years old.

She said she did not understand the concept of dressing up, but social media helped her learn how to have an even better experience before going to the second concert.

“Two totally complete differences but still so much fun,” she said.

@this1smetrying added that while the setlist may be the same at the different arenas, each show is “special in its own way.”

In addition to the tips she shared in the thread, @this1smetrying also advised concert-goers to remember a clear bag that is stadium approved.

And, fans should feel free to take as many pictures and videos as they want to remember the night.

“A Taylor Swift concert is one of the places [where] you can let your true self show which makes the show/day so memorable,” she said.

Many fellow Twitter users welcomed the advice.

“Thank you for this because [if] I do actually get tickets, it’ll be my first concert ever,” one tweet read.

Others offered their own experiences and tips for a Taylor Swift concert.

“I recommend getting ear plugs specifically made for concerts,” a Twitter user said. “They help protect your hearing and it kinda puts you in a bubble where it’s just you and the artist!”

“Also, her team will often times upgrade fans from the nosebleeds,” another tweet read. “It happened to us in Minneapolis!! And we were second row from barricade, center pit and it was ROOMY!!!”

“For Red tour in London I was all the way in the nose bleeds like last row and it was amazing to be able to hear her and experience all the lights and all the effects on the stage,” one Twitter user recalled. “Got some amazing pictures from it!”

Swift’s new album generated plenty of buzz online, with one fan theorizing what some of her songs may sound like. Much to her surprise, she accurately predicted the opening to “Lavender Haze.”
