Like most last generation games, Superhot: Mind Control Delete was never able to reach the benchmarks that new consoles are able to due to limitations in the hardware. Although playing these games through the Xbox Series X’s backwards compatibility would help with loading times and the like, it couldn’t do much to get past the hard cap on resolution and frame rate implemented to make sure the games run smoothly. Now developer SUPERHOT Team has released a patch to get over this hurdle.

After installing the new update, if players load up Superhot: Mind Control Delete on an Xbox Series X, they will be able to play the game with 4K resolution. This is in line with what other games on the system are offering, but it goes a step further with frame rate. Most expect to see 60 FPS, but Superhot: Mind Control Delete will run at 120 FPS.

On the Xbox Series S, the resolution drops down to 2K (also known as 1440p), but it maintains 120 frames per second. This means that regardless of which new Xbox system players are using, they’ll be able to run the game smoother and sharper than ever before.

Superhot: Mind Control Delete is available now for PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
