The project is half a game and half an album, dubbed Teenage Blob. With music by The Super Weaks and what appears to be a variety of different gameplay styles, Teenage Blob is a pretty interesting concept, featuring six songs and six games within it. Each game looks fairly distinct in the trailer too, with a charming, doodle art style.

Superhot is supporting the game and its team in addition to the reveal, giving the game resources and more visibility — an important marketing tool when it comes to indie games. Regardless, the project is interesting, and certainly a departure from what one typically expects from games, even in the independent scene.

Of course, there are games that put a heavy emphasis on soundtrack — Freedom Finger being one recent example — but Teenage Blob does seem to be separating itself from the other competition. It has a weird indie movie feel to it, which is certainly cool. Hopefully, that will carry into the game and album.

Superhot is available now on multiple platforms. Teenage Blob can be wishlisted on Steam.
