With the ONE featherweight kickboxing world championship on the line, his clash with Chingiz Allazov has had a long time to build. The highly anticipated meeting between the champion and the winner of the world Grand Prix has been postponed several times as both fighters battled through illness.

After originally being scheduled to take place at ONE on Prime Video 2, both men are finally set to face off on January 13.

Ahead of the contest, Superbon spoke to ONE Championship about what he believes his advantages are in the fight:

After winning the inaugural world title in 2020, the champion has produced two incredibly impressive title defenses over Giorgio Petrosyan and Marat Grigorian.

Whilst Allazov lost his promotional debut in 2021, he has since produced three consecutive wins in the Grand Prix tournament, capping his run off with his performance in the final at ONE X.

Relive Superbon Singha Mawynn’s marvelous head-kick knockout of Giorgio Petrosyan

With one of the greatest knockouts ever seen in ONE Championship, Superbon won the world title by head-kicking Giorgio Petrosyan.

A win over the all-time kickboxing great would’ve been enough to launch him into stardom, but he did it with a spectacular knockout that handed ‘The Doctor’ his first loss since 2013.

The Armenian-Italian fighter is one of the greatest kickboxers of all time. Throughout his prestigious career, Petrosyan has held titles in organizations such as K-1 MAX, ISKA, GLORY, ONE, World Muaythai Council, and many others.

ONE shared his shocking knockout loss on YouTube, with the description reading:

Since the bout, he has followed up his title win with a victory against former K-1 and GLORY world champion Marat Grigorian.

After his fight with Chingiz Allazov was postponed from ONE on Prime Video 2, the champion will finally make his return at ONE Fight Night 6 on Prime Video on January 13. The event is live and free for North American fans with Prime Video.
