Originally scheduled for ONE on Prime Video 2, this highly anticipated clash between the two elite strikers has been canceled and pushed back several times due to illness on the side of both competitors.

After winning the inaugural world title in 2020, the champion has produced two incredibly impressive title defenses over Giorgio Petrosyan and Marat Grigorian. Allazov, meanwhile, earned his shot by winning the ONE featherweight kickboxing world Grand Prix, leaving him riding a three-fight win streak.

Despite Allazov’s performances in the tournament, his opponent believes that he cannot offer him anything new. In an interview with ONE Championship, the champ said:

After only being able to compete once a year since joining ONE Championship, the champion will be hoping to defend his title in the main event of the first show of the year and remain active throughout 2023.

World champions Superbon Singha Mawynn and Nong-O Gaiyanghadao were recently seen training together with Trainer Gae.

There’s an old saying in combat sports that iron sharpens iron, referring to the fact that fighters massively benefit from training amongst other top competitors.

Both ONE titleholders were recently seen training side-by-side at Khun Suek Muay Thai. In a video posted by the featherweight world champion on Instagram, the pair hit pads with the legendary coach, posted with the caption:

In the video, both Superbon and Nong-O can be seen showcasing their devastating kicks to the body and legs.

As both men prepare to defend their world titles in 2023, it can’t be understated how much both men will benefit from consistently training around a competitor at the same level as themselves.
