Mii Fighter costumes based on Team Rocket, Goemon, Sans from Undertale, and Zero should be available to purchase in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate now. While they don’t have their own unique movesets like a full-fledged new character would, they all look very distinct enough to be considered a new addition to the roster. This is especially true for Sans from Undertale, who doesn’t really resemble the Mii Gunner character he’s based on at all.

Undertale fans will also be excited to learn that Undertale developer Toby Fox himself has created the musical arrangement for Sans in the game.

Sans being in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate is something that’s been rumored for awhile now. One “leak” claimed that Super Smash Bros. Ultimate was going to have Sans, but that their sources hinted at a different Undertale character. It could be that their sources were playing coy because Sans isn’t technically a full-fledged fighter, but there is still Undertale representation in the game through his appearance as a Mii Gunner costume.

Assuming that leaker had accurate information, then the next Super Smash Bros. Ultimate DLC fighter could very well be Waluigi. Fans have been demanding Waluigi for Super Smash Bros. for quite some time, with the character’s absence becoming a meme in the process. Then again, that leaker didn’t say anything about Terry Bogard being DLC, so it’s quite possible that they were making things up or were fed incorrect information.

Regardless, we know there will be more DLC characters added to Super Smash Bros. Ultimate than just the five that were originally promised. Nintendo confirmed more Super Smash Bros. Ultimate DLC characters are in active development, but we’ll have to wait to learn more about them at a later date.

Super Smash Bros. Ultimate is out now, exclusively for the Nintendo Switch.
